Hi Miki,
Are we talking about the greater CDO issues or GNC issue in particular? I spoke
with the sign coordinator for GNC to get background. I have personal thoughts on
a way forward on the GNC issue but I need to speak with planning as well as see
the three locations of the sign. My understanding is there will be two GNC signs
and a third was rejected off of 89th street.
Tricia Keane has been in contact with Kevin Kellier in the Mayor's office in
regards to this and I am to speak with her more in depth on the issue later this
week. The CDO push did not die with Chris leaving. Feel free to give me a ring.
Kind regards,

Hi Fred,
Any idea whether or not we can help GNC with getting approval for this sign?

Thank you Fred. Sorry, didn't know you were sick. It was a pleasure to meet your
fiance on Saturday. What a bright, warm and outgoing young lady...you did good!
We need to inspire our political officials to take charge of this CITY RUN department
and change what ever rules we have to in order to enable them to work solidly in the
spirit of the law, so that people look forward to doing business in LA instead of opting
out for culver city or El Segundo because "they want good business".
Let's get this party started!
Hugs

Hi Miki,
I was out sick on Friday. Let me chat with our planning team. I know the CDO
has presented many problems.
Kind regards,

Dear Don and Fred,
This is our new downtown Westchester tenant GNC and sadly, "the CDO strikes
again". Can our Council Office or BID help them? They were denied a sign on
our building (north facing side of Boston Market) for the following reason.

Amanda,
Per David Tehrani; "the Down town Westchester CDO Ordinance states that:
"Standard 16a: Each premise or business shall be permitted one wall sign.
One additional sign is permitted if the premise abuts another street, alley, or
public parking area."
Because of we only have 2 elevations (front and rear) that are eligible for
signage, we are only allowed the 2 signs. The side elevation sign proposed is
not on GNC's leased space.
Thank you!
